What is Kambo?

Kambo is the secretion from the Phyllomedusa bicolor frog, commonly known as the Monkey Tree Frog, native to the Amazon Basin.

This sacred frog resides high in the trees of the rainforest and is found in abundance due to its sole predator, the tree snake. The secretion from the frog's skin serves as its primary defense mechanism. When a tree snake captures a Monkey Tree Frog, the frog produces a clear, slimy
substance that enables it to slip out of the snake's grasp and escape to safety. These sacred creatures are heavily protected by the tribes of the Amazon.

How does Kambo make you feel?

Kambo provides a comprehensive and profound detoxification of the body at the cellular level, addressing the mind, body, and spirit. It cleanses not only the physical body but also the surrounding energy and aura.

The process begins with drinking two liters of water, followed by the application of Kambo. You will soon start to feel an increase in body temperature and a rapid heartbeat as the fresh, oxygenated blood circulates, detoxifying your lymph nodes, liver, kidneys, gallbladder, and other vital organs.

Kambo intuitively targets the areas of the body that require healing, rather than those you might consciously choose. As the treatment progresses, you may experience facial swelling as the capillaries and veins are cleansed. This detoxification extends to the brain, and you'll feel the medicine working throughout your body, identifying and addressing areas in need of healing. Sweating and slight discomfort are common, and feelings of weakness may arise. However, your practitioner will provide guidance and support throughout the process.

Ultimately, Kambo collects and concentrates negative energy and toxins, directing them to the stomach for expulsion. The final stage involves purging, which releases these accumulated toxins and negative energies, allowing you to shed what no longer serves you.

After the purge, you will feel a sense of calm, peace and relief. Any inflammation will be healed leaving you feeling lighter. Heacy metals and toxins have been released allowing you to gain mental clarity, productivity, a clearer connection to source and a happier mindset.

What else is involved in the ceremony?

Kambo is a spiritual medicine as physical. During the ceremony, the spirits of kambo will be called upon to assist with healing.

The ceremony consists of several sections.

A) Opening prayer/Meditation

B) Breathwork

C) Sananga

D) Hape

E) Kambo prayer/Meditation

F) Kambo

G) Recovery, Singing bowls with Reiki

H) Closing ceremony prayer with Gratitude.

Breathwork

Breathwork is a crucial component of a Kambo ceremony, enhancing both the physical and psychological benefits of the treatment. By oxygenating the body, breathwork supports the detoxification process initiated by Kambo, promoting the circulation of oxygenated blood and aiding in toxin removal. It helps manage intense physical reactions such as increased heart rate and discomfort, while also facilitating emotional release and spiritual cleansing. Conscious breathing techniques ground and center participants, reduce anxiety by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, and improve the mind-body connection, allowing for a deeper integration of the healing experience. Additionally, breathwork can assist in the purging process, stimulating the body's natural elimination mechanisms and supporting the overall detoxification goal of the Kambo ceremony.

Sananga

Sananga, a traditional Amazonian eye drop made from the roots and bark of the Tabernaemontana undulata plant, offers a range of benefits for both physical and spiritual health. It is known for its powerful cleansing properties, often used to treat eye conditions such as infections, glaucoma, and cataracts, enhancing overall eye health and vision clarity. Beyond its physical effects, Sananga is also believed to open and clear the energetic pathways, sharpening mental focus and heightening spiritual awareness. Users often report enhanced clarity of thought, improved concentration, and a deeper connection to their spiritual practice. Additionally, Sananga is used in shamanic rituals to purge negative energies, providing a sense of emotional and energetic purification. This multifaceted remedy is highly valued in traditional Amazonian medicine for its holistic approach to healing and well-being.

Hapé

Amazonian Hapé, a sacred tobacco snuff used by indigenous tribes of the Amazon, is revered for its profound healing and spiritual benefits. Made from a blend of powdered tobacco and various medicinal herbs, Hapé is traditionally administered through the nostrils, facilitating deep physical, mental, and spiritual cleansing. It is believed to clear the sinuses, improve respiratory health, and enhance focus and clarity of mind. Spiritually, Hapé is used in rituals to ground the individual, align their energies, and connect them with the earth and their higher consciousness. It helps to purge negative energies, release emotional blockages, and foster a sense of peace and balance. As a sacred tool, Hapé is integral to many Amazonian healing practices, aiding in the pursuit of holistic well-being and spiritual growth.

How long does it take to recover?

Recovery varies from person to person.

Depending on their personal circumstances, mental, emotional and physical state, some may take longer than others. However, the whole ceremony should last no longer than 2.5 hours. The average recovery time is around 20-30 mins.

Recovery will consist of relaxing under a comfy blanket and pillow. Whilst relaxing and processing the ceremony, sound bowls will be played intuitively, producing healing frequencies. Reiki will be sent to each participant, connecting them with source for a lift in their vibration and guidance for the coming days.

The participant will be able to drive home and we recommend resting for the duration of the day. The medicine will continue to work over the next few days.
