Homemade Elderberry Gummy Sweets: A Natural Immune Boost

  • ½ cup raw honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

  • ½ cup filtered water

  • Optional: 1 tsp fresh lemon juice (adds Vitamin C and brightness)


Step-by-Step Method

  1. You need a small saucepan to gently warm the elderberry syrup with the water over low heat. Don't boil it; make sure it's just warm enough to combine.

  1. For a sweeter taste, stir in the honey (or maple syrup) until fully dissolved. Adjust the sweetness to your liking.

  2. Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the liquid. Whisk continuously to avoid lumps. Continue whisking until the gelatin is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

  3. Remove from heat. Quickly pour the liquid into silicone gummy moulds or a shallow glass dish (you can cut them into squares later).

  1. Place in the fridge for 1–2 hours until firm.

  2. Enjoy!

  3. Pop out the gummies from the moulds, or cut into small squares if using a dish.
