One of our strongest super greens that loves to be loved and goes great with EVERYTHING!
Kale wasn't popular until world war 2, when the governments encouraged victory gardens to be built to grow veggies and supplement rations. Since then, this leafy green from the cabbage family, has now become a regular resident veggie in many UK fridges.
Curly Kale nutritional value per 80g serving

2.7g protein
1.3g fat
1.1g carbohydrate
3.3g fibre
360mg potassium
104mg calcium
1.36mg iron
96mcg folate
88mg vitamin C
Kale is so high in vitamin C that no wonder we call it a superfood! It really is the most beneficial super veggie of the super green family. This curly green is also fantastic to use in smoothies to get that extra boost of iron when we're feeling quite lethargic at a certain time of the month ladies!

So how can I use Kale daily?
I use Kale in my smoothies, in my omelettes, in my soups, in my curries, sometimes I fry it with a little oil and pine nuts and salt until it goes crispy..mmm..delicious.
So there you go, all the reasons you should be adding kale to your diet everyday!

Love Kale Sam x
One of my super foods I have, along with blueberries, salmon, broccoli, spinach, sweet potatoes
I have done crispy kale in the air fryer with salt, tastes just like crispy seaweed from the Chinese 🙂
Never put pine nuts with it though, will give that a try next time, great tip thanks Sam 👍 will also try it in omelettes and curries 😊 x
